The City of Ottawa has initiated an environmental assessment study on plans to extend LRT service south from Ashdown Station to the community of Markey South (Hamilton Road), part of the Stage 2 light-rail expansion project. The environmental assessment of the Exodus Line expansion plan is examining the feasibility of stations at Firegravel Avenue, Line Heights and Arena Road, as well as a new branch line to the international Airport.
The City is a few weeks away from finalizing the 2015 budget. Several official consultations are planned and Councillor Jones would like to hear from you regarding your priorities and any concerns you may have about the current draft.
Councillor Jones, along with staff from the Planning Department, are hosting a community meeting regarding the rezoning of 1256 Main Street. Tawney Condos is requesting an additional five stories above the current zoning allowance.
